01Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Jireh Bible & Prayer (“Jireh,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They govern your use of the Jireh app and the website at jirehbible.com (together, the “Services”).

By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

02Who can use Jireh

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
  • If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
  • Kids mode is meant to be used by a parent or guardian with their child, through the parent’s account. Parents are responsible for how their children use the Services.

03Your account

Please give us accurate information and keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. If you think someone has used your account without permission, contact us right away. You may delete your account at any time in the app’s settings.

04Talk with Jesus

Talk with Jesus lets you chat or speak with an AI-powered experience inspired by the words and teaching of Jesus in Scripture. Please understand what it is and what it is not.

  • It is AI. Responses are generated by artificial intelligence. They are not from a person, a pastor, or Jesus Himself, and they are not divine revelation.
  • It can be wrong. AI can make mistakes, misquote, or misunderstand. The Bible is the authority. Check what you hear against Scripture and talk with trusted believers and your church.
  • It is not professional advice. It does not give medical, mental health, legal, or financial advice, and it is not a replacement for a pastor, counselor, or doctor.

05Subscriptions and billing

  • Some features may be free, and some may require a paid subscription. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
  • Subscriptions are purchased and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and their terms also apply.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • You can cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
  • If you start a free trial, you will be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies.
  • We may change prices. If we do, we will tell you in advance, and the new price will apply at your next renewal.

06Our content

The Services include Bible text, audio readings, sermons, prayers, Kids mode stories, artwork, and software (“Jireh Content”). Jireh Content is owned by Jireh or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws.

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Jireh Content for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may share individual verses and prayers with friends and family. You may not copy, sell, rebroadcast, or redistribute Jireh Content in bulk.

Bible translations are used with permission of their copyright holders where required, or come from the public domain.

07Your content

You own the messages, voice messages, and prayer requests you create in the Services (“Your Content”). To run the Services, you give us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content for you. We do not use Your Content to advertise to you, and we do not sell it.

08Acceptable use

Please use Jireh with the same care you would bring into a church. You agree not to:

  • Break the law or encourage others to break it.
  • Use the Services to harass, threaten, or harm anyone.
  • Try to trick the AI into producing harmful, hateful, or sexual content.
  • Present AI responses as the actual words of Jesus or the Bible.
  • Copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Services.
  • Create accounts using false information or for someone else without permission.

09Third-party services

The Services may link to or work with third-party services, such as Apple, Google, and sign-in providers. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.

10Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Services will always be available, error-free, or that AI responses will be accurate or complete.

11Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Jireh will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50. Some states do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

12Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold Jireh harmless from any claims, losses, or costs (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) that come from your misuse of the Services or your violation of these Terms.

13Termination

You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms or if needed to protect other users or the Services. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, will survive termination.

14Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally within 30 days. If we cannot, any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Greene County, Missouri, and you and Jireh consent to those courts. Either party may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court.

15Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. If the changes are significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
